TRIBUTE TO HONOR FOUR CEDAR FALLS HEROES
Times Staff
On March 25, 11 Cedar Valley residents will be honored for their heroism at the annual Heroes Among Us event, which pays tribute to ordinary men, women and young people who took extraordinary action in a time of need. The 2009 Heroes Among Us have truly earned this award by providing CPR to a toddler, coming to the rescue of a young man trapped under a car, and honoring the memory of our veterans. Their complete stories will be shared on the morning of the event. The breakfast event, expected to draw over 500 Eastern Iowans, begins at 7:30 a.m. with proceeds benefiting Covenant and Sartori Emergency Departments. A limited number of seats are available for $20. Call 272-7676 or visit www.wheatoniowa.org. See the rest of the Cedar Valley winners in the March 6 edition of the Cedar Falls Times.
